Abhyanga is a full body treatment performed with warm herbal oil. This traditional treatment uses choreographed strokes, either 2 or 4 handed, to bring nourishment to the tissues, deep relaxation to the muscles and calmness to the mind.
Each body type is different, so the oil combinations are blended with specific herbs or essential oils to meet your unique needs. Abhyanga improves lymphatic flow and movement, increases the softness of the skin, reduces the effects of aging, and replenishes the tissues of the body while promoting healthy circulation. It helps with grounding both the body and mind.
This treatment is good for reducing stress and for general detoxification. Abhyanga is also helps with muscle tension, chronic fatigue, multiple sclerosis, depression, fibromyalgia, and Parkinson's disease.

Shirodhara is a simple, yet profound treatment that works specifically on balancing and stabilizing the activity of the mind.
Warm, herbal oil is poured in a consistent stream over the forehead, resting over the third eye. Shirodhara helps to normalize sleep cycles, reduces insomnia, nervous system disorders, and balances mental and emotional states.
This treatment profoundly relaxes the mind and nervous system and allows a person to go deep and journey within.

Ayurveda means “the science of life”. It is an ancient wellness system that focuses on the complete person which includes the body, mind, and spirit. Ayurveda is a natural health and wellness system that originated in India more than 5,000 years ago. The word Ayurveda is derived from the Sanskrit words Ayur, meaning “life”, and Veda, meaning “knowledge” - an ancient healing science centered around harmony and balance.
Universal interconnectedness lies at the heart of Ayurveda, coming to an understanding of our ideal state of balance (prakriti) and the constitutions of which we are composed (doshas) we can begin to discover, and then maintain our own personal balance.
In Ayurveda we believe that illnesses can arise from a state of imbalance. This imbalance can present in our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual selves and is called vikruti. This can arise as a result of a change in location, our eating habits, the emotional experiences we carry, the change in seasons, or even the various stages of our life. Ayurveda encourages certain lifestyle interventions, therapies, and practices to regain balance between your body, mind, spirit, and environment.
Ayurveda is a true holistic approach to health and wellness, incorporating diet, herbal remedies, massage therapy, yoga, meditation, breath work, and more.
Ayurveda teaches us that a healthy digestive system is the foundation of our health and wellbeing. When our digestive system is working correctly, nutrient absorption is optimized and digestive issues such as gas, bloating, loose stools, constipation, and indigestion are non-existent.
Poor sleep is often associated with Doshic imbalance. Hormonal fluctuations, life stages, and stress have a direct effect on our quality of sleep. Ayurveda seeks to harmonize these imbalances and
restore restful vitality.
All life is supported by energy, represented by the three Dosha types. Energy balancing is achieved through daily practices and others specific to your Dosha.

I just finished a two week Ayurveda cleanse with Heidi Grace.

First of all the process was far easier than I thought possible.
How could I do this living with my daughter’s family,
watching a two & almost 5 year old during a pandemic?
Well, I learned to value my time, turn off technology for a day,
(yes I did that)
and force myself to rest.
I have a much different relationship with food preparation
and the results were so invigorating!
I looked forward to my epsom salt baths, the Kitchari meals, yoga & relaxation.
I even learned how wonderful it is to be kind to myself!
