The heat of summer has been building a Pitta imbalance in the background (think heat, inflammation, irritability, skin irritation, acidity, and increased sensitivity). And, as we move into Vata season, the light, dry, mobile qualities will begin to dry us out, make sleep more challenging, increase our busy anxious mind, and make digestion and elimination more irregular.

What does this mean? It means it's time to clear the excess Pitta out, and prepare the body for the Vata-influenced months to come!

That's why Āyurvedic seasonal cleanses are positioned at seasonal transitions. We're shifting from one doshic influence to another, and that transition is a stressor on the body. The process of a seasonal cleanse helps align the body systems to the new season.
